RaonSecure, a leading AI security and authentication platform company, announced today that it has won the contract for the “Mobile Disability Registration Card Construction” project commissioned by the Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation (KOMSCO).

The mobile disability registration card project aims to improve accessibility to welfare services and strengthen the rights of people with disabilities. Under this project, RaonSecure will establish an issuance system based on its blockchain-based digital identity (ID) technology, enabling more convenient and secure verification for welfare service users.

Disability registration cards have traditionally been issued in physical plastic form, requiring users to carry them to access welfare services. This process can be inconvenient and may lead to psychological discomfort during identity checks. Additionally, incidents of loss, forgery, and unauthorized use have been ongoing concerns with the physical format. The new mobile solution aims to address these issues by improving convenience and reducing misuse risk.

For this initiative, RaonSecure will supply its OmniOne Enterprise blockchain-based digital ID platform along with a suite of integrated mobile security solutions. The OmniOne Enterprise platform has been previously applied to national mobile ID systems such as mobile resident registration cards and mobile driver’s licenses, showcasing its reliability and security in government-level digital ID infrastructure.

By integrating blockchain and decentralized identity (DID) technologies, the platform ensures high reliability, tamper resistance, and secure data management. It also incorporates advanced security features such as FIDO biometric authentication, distributed server architecture, and zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) techniques, which allow selective disclosure of necessary information without exposing sensitive personal data.

Winning this contract marks an important step in expanding the application of our digital ID technologies to essential public welfare services,” said SoonHyung Lee, CEO of RaonSecure. “By leveraging our blockchain-based platform, we aim to enhance both the convenience and security of identity verification for people with disabilities across South Korea.”

The mobile disability registration card project is expected to significantly improve user experience for welfare service recipients while also advancing digital inclusion in the public sector. RaonSecure continues to support nationwide digital transformation through its identity authentication and credentialing solutions.
